CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL PLACEMENT TEST (hspt) in Louisville, KY

If you’Ve REACHED this page, you’re probably considering a Catholic high school education for your child. We want to help you achieve that goal.

As an admissions requirement, Catholic high schools in Louisville require eighth-grade applicants to sit for the HSPT on the second Saturday of each December. A make-up test is offered in January. The HSPT evaluates what students have learned and how easily they learn in general by measuring certain factors. These factors help predict how successful eighth-grade students will perform in high school. Divided into five sections, the test’s 298 questions cover verbal, quantitative, reading, math, and language skills. Students may not use calculators while taking the exam, but proctors do provide scrap paper. As for scoring, only the right answers count, so students benefit when they answer every question.
