Our teaching specialists are experts in their individual field of study. If a student needs supplemental assistance in reading, writing, math, test prep, study skills, or academic subjects, it’s important to us that our teaching specialists are masters of that subject. Our team is highly skilled in crafting unique plans to match diverse student learning styles, having decades of collective experience, and all teachers are trained in the time-tested methods we use to help students improve their learning efficiency, increase their knowledge, and earn higher grades and test scores.

We understand that students are more likely to be successful when they have an excellent relationship with their tutor or teacher. We take care to match each student with the teaching specialist who best meets their academic needs.

Educational Resources was founded in 1994 to provide customized supplemental education services to students from Kindergarten to College. Since that time, Educational Resources has expanded and now offers a wide variety of services in our learning center and within public, private, and parochial schools. Our staff includes more than 25 teaching specialists who provide customized, one-on-one tutoring and group classes. In 2014, the Day School at Educational Resources was inaugurated in response to the growing prevalence of learning differences and mental health diagnoses exhibited among pre-adolescent and adolescent populations. Our core courses are approved by the NCAA. We have made a positive difference in the academic successes of thousands of students! We currently provide instruction to many of our second-generation families, and we are proud of our students who continue to excel in college, graduate school, professional school, workplace, and life.

In all that we teach, we seek to provide students with tailored programs to increase their efficiency as learners.

What parents Are Saying

“You’re doing something right when my 14-year-old looks forward to educational tutoring! ER has been an amazing!”

— MELISSA

“Educational Resources really helped my daughter. The fact that she doesn’t have any math or physics to catch up on is a major achievement. Two weeks into the year, she was already so far behind she was on the verge of giving up. The tutoring really helped.”

— JAMES

“Danny’s reading comprehension, word base, and phonics skills have improved in large multiples over the last several months. We can actually see a new enthusiasm in Danny when it comes to reading as well as when it comes to his homework; what a treat it is to watch him get excited about reading.”

— MARK

“I just wanted to say thanks again for helping Mary Catherine with her ACT preparation. She was accepted into Notre Dame, Georgetown, UVA, Vanderbilt and Michigan. She has decided to attend Notre Dame! Please thank everyone who helped tutor her for your great advice. Thanks to all of you, she received all of the college acceptances she was striving for!”

— MARY ANNE

“Thank you so much for all you and Mrs. Lake have done for Brian this year. Six months ago, I wouldn’t have believed he would be reading like he is now.”

— JANE

“We just had Sam’s psych-ed evaluation repeated compared to last year’s results. He’s made huge gains in processing speed and verbal comprehension, and his oral reading quotient jumped 30 points (61 to 91)! All of his scores are in the Average or above average range. Overall, his grades and ERB results are now in the “meets or exceeds expectations” range.”
